ABC Officially Renews Grey’s Station and Anatomy 19 Spin-Off

The long-running and extremely popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy has officially been renewed for its 18th season. Grey’s Anatomy will get a brand new season, with its Station 19 spin-off also being renewed for a 5th season. It’s unclear whether or not the upcoming 18th season of Grey’s Anatomy will be its last, but the future of the show is certainly up in the air.     Microsoft licenses the breakthrough natural language AI GPT-3

    Microsoft announced that it has “exclusively licensed” OpenAI’s sophisticated GPT-3 language model that may generate disturbingly human-like text in applications which range from commercial bots to creative writing. After investing $1 billion in the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA startup this past year to become OpenAI’s exclusive cloud partner, Microsoft shall access the language tech for itself and its own Azure cloud customers.

    OpenAI released GPT-3 just a few months ago to a restricted band of developers, but its capabilities have generated massive levels of buzz already. It’s the biggest language model trained, and is with the capacity of not mundane tasks like auto-generating business correspondence just, but creative or technical chores like poetry also, computer and memes code.

    In fact, the code is indeed powerful that OpenAI initially refused to create research on the sooner GPT-2 model for fear it may be abused to create fake news. Regardless of the huge size and power of the model, it’s also surprisingly user friendly.

    “Unlike most AI systems which were created for just one use-case, Today offers a general-purpose ‘text in openai’s API, text out’ interface, allowing users to use it on any English language task virtually. Today gpt-3 may be the most effective model behind the API, with 175 billion parameters,” the business wrote in a blog concerning the new partnership.

    Microsoft really wants to use GPT-3 to expand what it could offer its Azure cloud customers. “We see this being an incredible possibility to expand our Azure-powered AI platform in a manner that democratizes AI technology, enables services, experiences and services, and escalates the positive impact of AI at Scale,” said Microsoft CTO Kevin Scott. “You want to be sure that this AI platform can be acquired to everyone – researchers, entrepreneurs, hobbyists, businesses – to empower their ambitions to generate something interesting and new.”

    With the offer, Microsoft in addition has gained usage of the foundation code that it might integrate into its products, in accordance with The Verge. Simultaneously, OpenAI said that others can continue steadily to utilize the model. no impact is had by “The offer on continued usage of the GPT-3 model through OpenAI’s API, and existing and future users of it shall continue building applications with this API as usual,” the business wrote.
