ABC Officially Renews Grey’s Station and Anatomy 19 Spin-Off

The long-running and extremely popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy has officially been renewed for its 18th season. Grey’s Anatomy will get a brand new season, with its Station 19 spin-off also being renewed for a 5th season. It’s unclear whether or not the upcoming 18th season of Grey’s Anatomy will be its last, but the future of the show is certainly up in the air. It also stars Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery, Caterina Scorsone as Amelia Shepherd, Camilla Luddington as Jo Wilson, and Kelly McCreary as Maggie Pierce.

    Steven Soderbergh assembles ensemble cast for HBO Max thriller

    As production gets on the crime thriller underway, Steven Soderbergh’s No Sudden Move, formerly titled Kill Switch, has assembled an ensemble cast including Don Cheadle (Ocean’s Trilogy), Benicio del Toro (Sicario), David Harbour (Black Widow), Jon Hamm (Tag), Ray Liotta (Marriage Story) and more!

    Alongside the five, the star-studded roster may also include Amy Seimetz (The Secrets We Keep), Kieran Culkin (Succession), Brendan Fraser (Doom Patrol), Noah Jupe (Honey Boy), Bill Duke (High Flying Bird), Frankie Shaw (SMILF) and Julia Fox (Uncut Gems). Production on the film, that is following strict pandemic safety protocols, is underway in Detroit currently, Michigan.

    “The final time I shot a movie in Detroit with an excellent script and an excellent cast things exercised effectively, so I’m very excited behind my mask at this time,” Soderbergh said in a statement.

    Casey Silver (Mosaic, Godless) is mounted on produce the project, that was penned by Bill & Ted Face the Music co-scribe Ed Solomon, and is 1 of 2 projects Soderbergh has set at the WarnerMedia streaming platform alongside the Meryl Streep-starring Let ALL OF THEM Talk, later this season which is likely to debut.

    “It’s a pleasure to begin with production on another project with Steven Soderbergh, Casey Silver and Ed Solomon,” Casey Bloys, Chief Content Officer for HBO and HBO Max, said in a statement. “We’ve an unbelievable partner in Warner Bros. Pictures and an extraordinarily talented cast – we couldn’t be happier to create No Sudden Proceed to HBO Max.”

    “Steven is really a prolific, forward-thinking director who includes a two-decade history of earning movies at Warner Bros,” Toby Emmerich, Chairman, Warner Bros. Pictures Group, said in a statement. “We anticipate continuing his legacy at WarnerMedia along with his intense crime thriller.”

    Set in the 1950s Detroit, No Sudden Move will observe a trio of criminals who perform a house invasion, and then wonder if they’ve been double-crossed once the working job goes sideways.

    Soderbergh’s recent projects likewise incorporate the Netflix movies High Flying Bird and The Laundromat, and wrapped his latest directing gig Let ALL OF THEM Talk recently, starring Meryl Streep, Gemma Chan, Lucas Hedges, Candice Bergen, and Dianne Wiest. He also produced Scott Z recently. Burns’ The Report and served as executive producer on Bill & Ted Face the Music.
