Quake Receives A Fresh Update With Machine Games Providing A New Horde Mode

Quake, which was re-released for modern consoles and PC back in August, is receiving even more love from the devs at Bethesda and Wolfenstein developer Machine Games with a new mode and content added with Update 2. Out today on all platforms, Update 2 brings a host of big fixes, but most importantly, an entirely new Horde Mode. Developed by the team at Machine Games, Quakes Horde Mode pits teams of 1-4 local or online players (or bots!) against swarms of AI enemies on four brand new horde maps. Every third wave of baddies will include a boss which coughs up a silver key which can be cashed in to collect more weapons and items, bolstering your arsenal for further battles. Click here to watch embedded media Also included in Update 2 is an add-on called Honey where you'll "delve deep into the darkness to conquer a deadly plague infecting the land." It's a new Quake experience authored by senior level designer Christian Grawer from Machine Games. Quake is making its Epic Games Store debut today, as well.     Call Of Duty: Mobile Adds Blackout Alcatraz Map For New Anniversary Season

    Despite initial skeptical thoughts when the mobile Call of Duty experience was announced, the portable shooter has done quite well in terms of player count and constant updates. For those enjoying this pocket-sized competitive experience, Call of Duty: Mobile has just added the Blackout Alcatraz map in addition to a few other new gameplay features to take on. 

    To celebrate the game’s anniversary, the team behind Call of Duty: Mobile has added Alcatraz, The Club, a new Battle Pass, and more. We’ve got our first look at the new season, which is available now, in the video clip below: 

    For those that love Gunfight, a new map for that mode arrives with King and a new 1v1 Duel map appropriately called Halloween Standoff as well. 10vs10 Kill Confirmed is also included with the new update as well as a new game mode called Cranked. 

    While not the only shooter on the mobile market, Fortnite is another incredibly successful portable venture, it is one that continues to dominate. With a new season offering a few new experiences to enjoy and cosmetics to earn, there seems to always be a reason to jump back in for those that enjoy this particular experience.
