Dubai’s leading airlines, Emirates and Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways have partnered with International Air Transport Association to introduce travel passes for passengers who’ve been cured or tested negative for Covid-19.
The IATA travel pass will undoubtedly be offered on select flights from Abu Dhabi said Etihad airways on Tuesday and the carrier will undoubtedly be extending its pass to other destinations if the trial run is available successful.
This travel pass could keep passengers in charge of their data and facilitate by sharing their test outcomes with airlines and authorities for travel said Etihad.
On another hand, Emirates among the leading airline services will start implementing this from April to validate Covid-19 test outcomes from the flights departing from Dubai.
The UAE has recently administered over 2 million vaccine doses and contains the second-highest rate of inoculations after Israel.
Before this, Singapore Airlines has started trials of the brand new digital verification process bases on the IATA travel pass framework.
