    Minecraft Releases Free Sustainability City Map Inspired by Microsoft’s Sustainability Report

    Mojang Studios is releasing a free Sustainability City map today that invites players to explore how a few of the goals and themes in Microsoft’s Annual Sustainability Report become more active in a Minecraft town. 

    The Sustainable City map can be acquired now as a free download in the Minecraft Marketplace “Education Collection”  along with within Minecraft: Education Edition  where educators can download six new lessons made to give students a feeling of stewardship for the earth, from responsible forestry to waste management, studying the the different parts of a sustainable home, exploring alternative electricity, and much more: 

    • Sustainable Food Production. Explore sustainable practices for each step of food production at a farm, supermarket, waste facility, and recycling plant.
    • Outflow Order. Find out about water outflow and treatment to comprehend how biosolids donate to fertilizer and how treated water returns with their homes.
    • Wasted to Wanted. Have a look at a landfill, and learn which materials are recyclable and what goes on to materials that aren’t reused.
    • Dependable Forests. Better understand the social, economic, and environmental impacts of responsible forestry.
    • Sustainable Home. Search for a home constructed with sustainable materials to understand how exactly to live more energy-efficiently.
    • Alternative Energy. Create a visit to a hydropower plant to understand about power lines and wind power through turbines.
