After a winter break, the holy gates of Shri Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand will be reopened for devotees from May 18, 2021.
Located in Chamoli district, the gates of the temple will undoubtedly be closed each year after Diwali because of the winter weather and in this season the gates will undoubtedly be closed because the region will undoubtedly be covered with thick blankets of snow.
According to the reports, the temple gates will open at 04:15 am on, may 18 and the auspicious date for reopening the shrine was fixed at a ceremony held on the holy occasion of Basant Panchami on February 16, 2021.
Badrinath Temple is among the Char Dhams of Uttarkhand pilgrimage circuit alongside Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. Because of the Covid-19 outbreak, the reopening of Badrinath Temple was delayed and the reopening of Kedarnath have not yet been announced.
