Google has updated the Gmail iOS app for the very first time in months, alongside Meet, Sheets, Docs, Tasks and calendar. From Tasks now supporting widgets on iOS 14 aside, they are minor updates centered around bug performance and fixes improvements. It’s the first-time Google has rolled out new versions of the apps since Apple started forcing third-party developers to submit privacy nutrition labels. In February it updated several YouTube apps.
Various other major Google iOS apps are on ice still, however. The business hasn’t made any changes to the Chrome app since November. On December 7th google rolled out the newest version of the Drive iOS app, day before Apple made the privacy labels mandatory the. The Drive App Store page carries a privacy label now, but Chrome’s will not.
