With just, Apple TV+ has announced that Mythic Quest will undoubtedly be obtaining a special bonus season episode entitled “Everlight” prior to the second season premiere in-may! The episode, that is being directed by co-creator, executive producer and star Rob McElhenney and compiled by star Burch Ashly, marks the next special episode ahead from the series since its first season premiered following a quarantine-set episode last May. “‘Everlight’ is really a special episode that addresses the practical and emotional difficulties of time for normalcy,” McElhenney said in a statement. “It’s filled with joy and hope and optimism for a bright future. Before our upcoming second season, we felt it was an ideal way (and an ideal time) to invite the audience back to the planet of Mythic Quest .”
In “Everlight,” the creative team, again once, presents a relatable subject that folks all around the globe are facing – the go back to offices and co-workers. As well as the award-winning returning ensemble cast, the episode will feature Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins ( THE DADDY ) as a particular guest star lending his voice to the episode. The half-hour special finds the team behind the largest multiplayer gaming of all-time time for the office because of their annual Everlight party, with Poppy and Ian rigging a live-action role play (LARP) tournament within an underdog’s favor.
“Rob and the entire Mythic Quest team have created a beloved cast of characters which have struck a chord with audiences all over the world,” Matt Cherniss, Apple TV+’s Head of Programming, said in a statement. “After hitting it from the park making use of their extraordinary ‘Quarantine’ special episode, we couldn’t await viewers to see their unique undertake another topical and universally relatable moment – retruning to any office of the growing season two launch on, may 7 ahead.”

Season two of Mythic Quest finds everyone back any office (well, everyone), wanting to build upon the success of Raven’s Banquet by launching an epic new expansion, but Ian (McElhenney) and the newly promoted co-creative director, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), have a problem with the game’s direction. Meanwhile, C.W. ( Academy Award-winner F. Murray Abraham) reconciles some unresolved issues from his past, the testers (Burch and Imani Hakim) test the bounds of an office romance and David (David Hornsby) loses just one more woman in his life as Jo (Jessie Ennis) leaves him to aid Brad (Danny Pudi). The ensemble cast features Naomi Ekperigin, Caitlin McGee, Humphrey Ker, Chris Naoki Jonathan and Lee Wiggs.
Developed by McElhenney, Day and Megan Ganz charlie, Mythic Quest is executive made by McElhenney and Day under their RCG banner alongside Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel with respect to 3Arts, Jason Altman, Danielle Gérard and Kreinik Guillemot for Ubisoft Film and Television, Ganz and hornsby, while Apple TV+ by Lionsgate, 3 Arts Entertainment and Ubisoft all produce.
The next season is defined to premiere on May7 as the special “Everlight” episode will debut on April 16!
