Olivia Colman in talks for Sam Mendes’ romance drama Empire of Light
Over per year following the critical and box office success of 1917 , acclaimed director Sam Mendes has finally found his next major directing project by means of an enchanting drama film titled Empire of Light . Searchlight Pictures has boarded the project officially, with Academy Award-winning actress Olivia Colman in negotiations to lead the feature.

Empire of Light has been referred to as a love story which will be occur and around a lovely old cinema on the South Coast of England. The film will be directed by Mendes from the screenplay he wrote. The studio happens to be likely to release the film in nov 2022.
