Invincible joins the ongoing success of Prime Video’s The Boys , another superhero show with several spinoffs in development alongside a third season. Like The Boys , Invincible is founded on a preexisting comic series published by Image starting in 2003. Co-created by Kirkman and artist Cory Walker, the series ran for 144 issues to its natural conclusion, which lends for a whole large amount of material for the ongoing Amazon show.
A film in line with the hero may be in the works also. Announced in 2017, Invincible the movie had  once; Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg attached as writers before descending into development hell slowly. For what it’s worth, Kirkman has stated by January that the project has been worked on in a few capacity still. Possibly the ongoing success of the Amazon Prime adaption will undoubtedly be enough to find the movie tie-in soaring through the Hollywood skies once again.
