It’s been a wild and crazy roller coaster ride this this past year, creating a new studio and hiring a huge amount of great talent amid the pandemonium of the COVID-19 lockdown. What an unbelievable journey up to now and finally your day that marks the start of our next chapter is here! Today we have been thrilled to announce a landmark deal for Deviation Games, dealing with Sony Interactive Entertainment to build up a brand-new original IP.
When my partner Jason Blundell and I first met decades ago, we dreamt about having our very own studio often, making games our way with this own team of like-minded developers, and creating a grouped community where lasting friendships are manufactured. Today that dream has turned into a reality. We feel so fortunate to possess this incredible opportunity – one for Jason and I to create something new from the bottom up, to innovate and forge an unbelievable community and legacy fearlessly.
We call ourselves Deviators. So when Jason describes it, “Another method of saying Deviator is Renaissance mindset. Deviators aren’t only passionate about their very own discipline, however they too love others. We think that is what’s special and unique about our studio, the culture, the united team, which project. From experience, young determined studios need dependable support to thrive. That’s why this means so much that PlayStation is partnering around on our first game. As you all know-having enjoyed the amazing PlayStation Studios portfolio-they know very well what it takes to create great games. To truly have a partner like this behind us makes the street ahead simply breathtaking.”
I understand what you’re thinking as you read this. What type of game are we making? Just how long have we been focusing on it already? Could it be story based? Multiplayer? Co-op? Or every one of the above and much more? When could it be out coming? While I could underway confirm development has already been, it’s really early for all of us to be entering specific details. We’re drawing on which we’ve learned over our collective decades making games, but we’re also out to create something fresh and filled with innovation like you’ve never experienced before. We’re not afraid to state our ambitions are super high: we’re aiming to produce a huge, content-rich game with a concentrate on a complete large amount of action and lots of energy, but let’s leave it at that for the present time also it won’t be a long time before we are able to share more hopefully.
