The long-awaited System Shock version from Nightdive Studios has now been released, at least for PC. The favorite is reimagined and debuts on May 30.
System Shock was supposed to be released this month, so this statement serves as yet another pause for those who are keeping score. Since at least 2016, System Shock has been developing in some capacity. It started out as a crowd-funded fire project with the goal of reviving the 1994 style. The version completely overhauls the experience with updated controls and graphics, a new user interface, and more, but the antagonistic A. I. SHODAN is really voiced by the original performer.
