Bruce Campbell, who portrayed the iconic horror movie warrior Ash Williams, is a well-known member of the Evil Dead brand. Campbell will be a secret character in the upcoming Evil Dead Rise even though he won&# 8217 won’t be playing the lead role.
Director Lee Cronin discussed the upcoming movie with Empire Magazine, saying that he thought it needed to&# 8220, break free of Ash, and # 8221 in order to expand the Evil Dead franchise. However, Cronin did claim that Campbell was &# 8220, hidden, and # 8221 in the movie and even issued a challenge to the audience to locate him.
Cronin said,” It felt like it needed to break free of Ash in order to move the franchise elsewhere new and unlock the potential of the universe to ascertain more stories.” However, Bruce is tucked away in the film there. Evil Dead Rise will be led by Alyssa Sutherland (Vikings) and Lily Sullivan (Picnic at Hanging Rock), along with Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence), Morgan Davies (The Girlfriend Experience), and Nell Fisher (Northspur). Executive producer and franchise star Bruce Campbell previously confirmed that the upcoming film wouldn’t have any ties to the previous films and will mainly center around the Necronomicon.
