Bottoms 2 Release Date Rumors: Is It Coming Out?

Ever since Bottoms released in theaters on August 25, 2023, viewers have been curious about Bottoms 2 and whether or not they will see more of PJ and Josie’s shenanigans at the fight club they use to hook up with cheerleaders.

Here’s all the Bottoms 2 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there a Bottoms 2 release date?

At the time of writing, Bottoms 2 does not have a release date.

Although Bottoms was a critical and commercial success after arriving in theaters, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Orion Pictures, and Brownstone Productions might be waiting to see how the film performs in streaming before they decide to greenlight a sequel. Since the film performed incredibly well in the theaters, it will no doubt perform well in streaming.

Bottoms’ cast includes Rachel Sennott as PJ, Ayo Edebiri as Josie, Ruby Cruz as Hazel Callahan, Havana Rose Liu as Isabel, Kaia Gerber as Brittany, Nicholas Galitzine as Jeff, Miles Fowler as Tim, Marshawn Lynch as Mr. G, and Dagmara Dominczyk as Mrs. Callahan, among other cast members. Bottoms is directed by Emma Seligman, who is best known for her work in 2021’s Shiva Baby, which also starred Sennott and 2016’s Void.

Emma Seligman also co-wrote the script of Bottoms with Rachel Sennott.

Where is Bottoms 2 coming out?

Bottoms 2 isn’t confirmed to release in theaters anytime soon.

The official synopsis for Bottoms reads:

“Unpopular best friends PJ and Josie start a high school self-defense club to meet girls and lose their virginity. They soon find themselves in over their heads when the most popular students start beating each other up in the name of self-defense.”
