Exclusive: Cat Brewer’s blind nations video Sign the Show has acquired Northern British right, according to Global Digital Releasing. The film focuses on the blind community’s search for access to live entertainment and features Kelly Clarkson, D. L. Hughley, André 3000, Andrew Santino, Camryn Manheim, Waka Flocka, DJ Whoo Kid, and more.

According to the announcement, &# 8220, famous people and Deaf and Hard of Hearing activists, such as Matt Maxey, Nyle DiMarco, Julie Rems-Smario, and Premium Geek, also appear with well-known American Sign Language interpreters to discuss accessibility and inclusion at live performances.

A fully accessible Q & amp, A with the director and EP Matt Maxey as well as special guests will be shown at Laemmle’s Monica Film Center today, September 20, and at their NoHo 7 Location on September 21. However, the official digital release will take place sometime this fall.

&# 8220, I had been going to music concerts for more than 35 years before I saw a sign language interpreter perform. It was 2014, and I was totally ignorant. I had no idea that Deaf and HOH people enjoyed attending music. I was shocked and upset when I learned about the incredible challenges this community faces when trying to access live entertainment, something I &# 8217, ve taken for granted my entire life, and # 8221, Brewer said in a statement. I had previously spoken with the interpreter and had since communicated with Deaf concertgoers via the Interpreter.

&# 8220 I told a friend about my unease and she encouraged me to document my experiences, so I did. By making available exposure to live entertainment the standard for a more diverse world, Sign the Show, in my opinion, will bring about social shifts in the entertainment sector.

Professional producers include Claudia Lin Cunningham, Sara Hirsh Bordo, Maxey, and Flocka.
