Halo Debuts New 'World Of Halo' Stop-Motion Video Series, Episode 1 Available Now

While we continue to wait for a Halo Infinite release date other than the anticipated November 2021 window, the team over at 343 Industries has a different sort of Master Chief-inspired project to share. Using the Jazwares action figure line, the stop-motion series called World of Halo just debuted its first episode. You can watch it below. Spoiler alert: it's pretty awesome. The Jazwares line is surprisingly detailed for being a mere four inches tall and seeing them in action in this format is kind of cool to see as a Halo fan myself. From a fight to death with the iconic energy sword to seeing some of the most recognizable enemies in the Halo-verse, the first episode of this series has us pretty jazzed to see what's next. Especially being a massive collector.  [embedded content] Master Chief's badassery, glowing energy swords, grunts screaming in panic - what more could you want? Other than a Halo Infinite gameplay trailer, but don't worry about that. 343 Industries has recently confirmed that a new gameplay reveal is coming this Summer to show off what the team has been working on since criticism hit about its next-gen graphics.  In other Halo news, 343 recently shared off a new screenshot from the main campaign, which you can see here, detailing the various PC-specific settings for resolution.     Robert Kirkman Confirms Two More Seasons of Invincible at Amazon

    Viewers who have been enjoying Amazon Prime Video’s ongoing superhero series Invincible have something to celebrate. Franchise co-creator Robert Kirkman reached out to the show’s lead actor Steven Yeun to share the news that Amazon has renewed the show for two more seasons.This good news comes just one day before tomorrow’s season one finale, entitled “Where I Really Come From.” The entire show concerns Mark Grayson, the son of the world’s greatest superhero. When he finally starts to develop his own abilities, he begins to train with his father and fight alongside other heroes. However, a horrible twist of fate threatens to shake up his entire world and fight for what he believes in over his own heritage.RELATED: Cast & Creator Talk Amazon’s Invincible AdaptationInvincible joins the ongoing success of Prime Video’s The Boys, another superhero show with several spinoffs in development alongside a third season. Like The Boys, Invincible is based on an existing comic series published by Image starting in 2003. Co-created by Kirkman and artist Cory Walker, the series ran for 144 issues to its natural conclusion, which lends for a lot of material for the ongoing Amazon show.A film based on the hero may also still be in the works. Announced in 2017, Invincible the movie once had Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg attached as writers before slowly descending into development hell. For what it’s worth, Kirkman has stated as of January that the project is still being worked on in some capacity.     Amazon in talks for Jurnee Smollett action vehicle Fuel Fresh off working together on HBO’s acclaimed adaptation of Lovecraft Country, star Jurnee Smollett and executive producer Misha Green are reuniting for an action vehicle Fuel with Amazon Studios currently in talks to acquire the pitch in a heated bidding war, according to Deadline. RELATED: Lovecraft Country’s Misha Green Tapped to Write/Direct Tomb Raider Sequel The film, which is being penned by Kat Wood (Diplomatic Courier, Envoy), will center on a wheel woman, a modern take on a familiar character, and is described as “an action-packed female empowerment story that will subvert the relationship between cars and masculinity” and will see the heroine coerced into working for a criminal and breaking all the rules she set out for herself. Smollett, also coming off the well-received DC Extended Universe ensemble pic Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), is currently set to star in the film and produce alongside Green while Wood is attached to executive produce the project, with no director currently attached to the project. In addition to Lovecraft, Green and Smollett previously worked on together on the acclaimed WGN America series Underground, which ran for two seasons.     Day, Slate, Rodriguez & more to lead Amazon’s ensemble I Want You Back As production on the romantic comedy is about to get underway, Amazon Studios has unveiled the cast for I Want You Back which features an ensemble roster of stars including Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Jenny Slate (Big Mouth), Gina Rodriguez (Kajillionaire) and more.     Lost and Found: Zachary Levi & Gina Rodriguez to star in Amazon’s new comedy adventure According to Deadline, Amazon Studios is currently in the process of developing a new treasure hunting comedy film titled Lost and Found with Shazam! star Zachary Levi and Golden Globe winner Gina Rodriguez attached for the leading roles. The project hails from Pink and Jeff Morris. The screenplay is written by Pink and Jeff Morris. On top of starring, both Levi and Rodriguez are also serving as producers through their respective production companies, Wyldwood Studios and I Can and I Will Productions. The film will also be produced by Pink Morris for Pink Machine banner. The idea for the project was conceived after Pink Morris and Levi’s previous feature titled Undercover was shelved due to the ongoing pandemic.     Amazon greenlights I Know What You Did Last Summer series The update of the cult classic ’90s teen slasher I Know What You Did Last Summer has found its home at Amazon Studios with Preacher veteran Sara Goodman attached to write and executive produce alongside horror maestro James Wan via his Atomic Monster banner, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Although they believe they have successfully covered up their crime, the group finds themselves at the receiving end of a slasher killer’s serial rampage one year later.     Amazon in final negotiations to acquire Coming 2 America With the global pandemic still raging and theaters remaining shut down, studios are looking to shift from theatrical to digital releases and now word has come that Paramount has entered final negotiations with Amazon to acquire Coming 2 America, according to Variety. RELATED: Tracy Morgan Offers Details on Coming 2 America Character Sources report that the final details between the streaming platform and film studio are being worked out, including consumer marketing tie-ins with McDonalds and Crown Royal, which are expected to transfer over to Amazon Studios along with the film, which is also reportedly a priority for chief Jennifer Salke. The Amazon Studios exec has recently been behind the acquisitions of the Borat sequel and fellow Paramount Pictures acquisition Without Remorse, an adaptation of Tom Clancy’s novel of the same name starring Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther). Coming 2 America will follow Akeem, now set to become king, discovering he has a son he never knew about, a street-savvy Queens native named Lavelle. Honoring his father’s dying wish to groom his son as a new crowned prince, Akeem must once again return to America. The film will be directed by Craig Brewer, who previously worked with Paramount Pictures on Hustle & Flow, Blake Snake Moan, and the 2011 Footloose remake. black-ish creator Kenya Barris penned the script. The original film was directed by John Landis and starred Murphy as a wealthy African prince who comes to Queens, New York posing as a poor man to search for a bride. Mbatha starred in 2017’s Hotel Called Memory and All About Love. Beauvais appeared in the original Coming to America, and has since appeared in a number of TV shows and films, including Spider-Man: Homecoming.

    John Cena & Idris Elba reteaming for Head of State at Amazon Studios As audiences await to see the duo team up for James Gunn’s highly-anticipated The Suicide Squad, John Cena (F9) and Idris Elba (Hobbs & Shaw) have already set their next project with the action project Head of State, which has just been acquired by Amazon Studios, according to Deadline. While plot details are currently being kept under wraps for the project, it’s being described as a being akin to the “two-hander, high-octane” action movies of the ’90s such as Air Force One and even Elba’s Fast and Furious spin-off, pairing “an odd couple in a high-stakes situation.” The duo pitched the project to Amazon Studios over Zoom alongside screenwriter Harrison Query (My Wife & I Bought a Ranch) and producers Peter Safran and John Rickard of The Safran Company, with the actors currently finalizing their deals in a reported six-to-seven figure deal for Query. The group were reportedly halted during their presentation as the studio wanted to quickly grab the project before they could pitch it to other studios. Following the conclusion of shooting on Gunn’s DC Extended Universe sequel, of which he was also a producer, Safran noticed a real chemistry between Cena and Elba and began working with the two to capitalize on their momentum and find a vehicle for them to lead together.     Amazon Studios acquires Borat sequel, Sets October premiere After rumors began swirling early this summer that the Oscar-nominated writer/star was working on a sequel to his 2006 hit, it’s now been confirmed that Amazon Studios has acquired the rights to Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat sequel and has set it for a late October premiere date, according to Deadline. Baron Cohen kept the production of the film way below the radar, hoping to have the film ready in time to release before Election Day to help suade American audiences to properly vote in the forthcoming Presidential election, only to see word leak shortly after it wrapped that CAA Media Finance had screened it for possible distributors in search of a deal. With original studio, Fox Searchlight Pictures, being absorbed by Disney in the studio merger and theatrical releases still not entirely viable with the pandemic still underway, the 48-year-old writer/star and Amazon Studios elected to release it on Amazon Prime to reach a wide audience and get the message out in time for voting with its October 23 bow.
