The Rock Gives Tiny Glimpse of His Black Adam Costume

Fans have been anxiously awaiting more information regarding DC’s upcoming Black Adam film, and in a recent Instagram post, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gave fans an extremely tiny glimpse at things.RELATED: Young Rock Star Joins Cast of Dwayne Johnson’s Black AdamIn a recent post, Johnson shared a series of photos of himself in a board meeting for Zoa Energy. At the bottom of the post, though, Johnson teased that fans with a keen eye would spot that he was actually wearing his Black Adam costume during the meeting, albeit covered up in a black cloak. As Johnson is currently shooting the film, he’s got to stay in costume during any meetings outside of that. “If you swipe left and zoom in, you’ll see a small piece of my gold Black Adam [costume] peeking out from under my black cloak of secrecy (my weekly board meetings all take place during my 30min breaks from shooting Black Adam),” wrote Johnson. The photo itself (which you can see below) isn’t too much of a look, however. Fans can just spot some gold from Black Adam’s iconic golden lightning bolt sticking out near the top of the costume. For a more in-depth look, fans will have to be patient as filming wraps up and more is released. 📸: In @TheRock’s recent Instagram post, you can see a peek of his BLACK ADAM costume! pic.twitter.com/HqCZfQTZye— Black Adam Updates (@blackadamnews) May 20, 2021Black Adam will be led by Dwayne Johnson, who has been attached to play the titular anti-hero for over a decade now. Zack Snyder’s Justice League Trailer: The Bell’s Been Rung

Zack Snyder’s Justice League Trailer: The bell’s been rung The time has come for the arrival of the official trailer of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, highlighting the infamous director’s cut of the DC Extended Universe blockbuster with new footage of Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, Jared Leto’s Joker and more, all set to arrive on March 18. The trailer can be viewed below! It was originally revealed at DC FanDome that the movie will release on HBO Max in 2021 by being broken up into four one-hour parts that will also be released as one four-hour film, but Snyder’s new comments seem to indicate it will solely be released as the one-off film instead of the four-part series. In an informal Q&A with the director via the comments, Snyder also revealed that there will be no after-credits scenes, the release date is still set for March even as potential competition Godzilla vs. Kong just moved to the same month and its runtime is four hours prior to the credits. Zack Snyder’s Justice League has reportedly cost around $70 million in order to properly finish the editing and visual effects of the director’s original vision, as well as the additional photography. The original post-production crew is also expected to return along with the cast members to record additional dialogue for the cut.  Fueled by the hero’s restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Justice League sees Bruce Wayne enlist the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. Justice League, which features a screenplay from Chris Terrio from a story by Snyder and Terrio, stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, with J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. RELATED: Harry Lennix Reveals He is Martian Manhunter in Zack Snyder’s Justice League Released in November 2017, the film earned mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, praising the action and performances from Gadot and Miller while criticizing every other aspect of the film, namely the inconsistent tone that many fault Joss Whedon (The Avengers) for after taking over directorial duties from Snyder. With a large budget of $300 million and a break-even point of $750 million, the film is considered a box office bomb having grossed only $658 million.

Harry Lennix Reveals He is Martian Manhunter in Zack Snyder’s Justice League

Harry Lennix reveals he is Martian Manhunter in Zack Snyder’s Justice League There’s been a lot of back and forth as to what exactly fans can look forward to seeing in the infamous forthcoming Zack Snyder’s Justice League miniseries, but Harry Lennix has cleared up one detail to Collider with the revelation he will indeed appear as the extraterrestrial superhero Martian Manhunter. RELATED: Rumor: Zack Snyder’s Justice League Blu-ray Arriving in March? Lennix confirmed that when he was first cast in the debut DC Extended Universe project, Man of Steel, as General Swanwick, he did not know he would continue the role past one film, let alone the character’s real identity and that though he learned of the real plans with Justice League, he still didn’t get a chance to read the script as “they were still being developed and they keep all of that under lock and key.” Given his schedule conflicts with his role on NBC’s The Blacklist, he never properly filmed his scenes as Manhunter, but once Warner Bros. greenlit the extra shooting for the new miniseries cut of the project, Lennix confirmed he has shot the necessary footage for the role. Zack Snyder’s Justice League will reportedly cost around $70 million in order to properly finish the editing and visual effects of the director’s original vision, as well as the additional photography. Dwayne Johnson-Led Black Adam Adds Sarah Shahi to Cast

Dwayne Johnson-led Black Adam adds Sarah Shahi to cast After landing Aldis Hodge (The Invisible Man) to star as Hawkman late last month, New Line Cinema’s Black Adam led by Dwayne Johnson (Jungle Cruise) has expanded its cast with the addition of Person of Interest alum Sarah Shahi, according to Deadline. RELATED: Aldis Hodge in Talks for Hawkman in Black Adam! The 40-year-old actress, who most recently appeared in a recurring role on Showtime’s City on a Hill and ABC’s The Rookie, is set to star as a university professor and freedom fighter who is leading a resistance in Kahndaq. During its appearance at last month’s DC Fandome event, it was revealed that the film would feature the appearances of Hawkman, Doctor Fate and Cyclone to set up the Justice Society of America, while also bringing word that Hawkgirl would have to remain absent for the time being. Over the years, many superheroines have assumed the secret identity of Hawkgirl. The only recurring element is her partner/romantic interest Hawkman since it’s nearly impossible to see one without the other. Recently, fans saw the Shiera Sanders Hall version of Hawkgirl as part of the Justice Society of America in the Stargirl television series. Sadly, she lost her life to Brainwave on the night the Injustice Society attacked the JSA headquarters. The character was originally supposed to appear in this year’s Shazam! but decided to save his highly-anticipated debut for a later film in order to let each character get some breathing room. However, despite not appearing in Shazam!, his character was teased with the wizard Shazam, played by Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy), telling his origin story to Billy Batson. Based on the DC Comics character created by Otto Binder and C.C. Beck, Black Adam will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows) with Johnson starring as the titular anti-hero and Adam Sztykiel having written the current script. Noah Centineo will play Atom Smasher in the movie. The film will be the second collaboration between Collet-Serra and Johnson, who have also been working together on Disney’s forthcoming adventure film Jungle Cruise. Henry Cavill Not Taking part in Zack Snyder’s Justice League Reshoots

Henry Cavill not participating in Zack Snyder’s Justice League reshoots After yesterday brought the surprising word that Zack Snyder would be shooting additional footage for his cut of Justice League with five of its central stars returning, Collider has revealed that contrary to the report, Superman’s Henry Cavill is not set to partake in the reshoots for the infamous cut. RELATED: CS Video: Release the Snyder Cut Author Sean O’Connell “Not shooting anything additional. No,” Cavill said. “It’s all stuff that has been already done. Obviously I don’t know how things are going to evolve and change and adapt depending on now a different length of movie and whatever may happen in post-production. Whatever lessons may be learned from what is it four years since Justice League came out? Four years’ worth of fan reaction. For me…I’m now just watching the party.” Our recent chat with Release the Snyder Cut author Sean O’Connell revealed that the original decision not to shoot new footage may have simply been COVID-related, so it’s possible appropriate safety steps were ironed out. While things could change and see Cavill actually partake in the additional photography, with his schedule currently filled shooting the second season of The Witcher in the UK and pandemic protocols making traveling between the two productions near-impossible, chances are Snyder will indeed have to work with whatever footage he has for the character. Zack Snyder’s Justice League will reportedly cost around $70 million in order to properly finish the editing and visual effects of the director’s original vision, as well as the additional photography. The original post-production crew is also expected to return along with the cast members to record additional dialogue for the cut. It is expected to debut sometime in 2021.  Fueled by the hero’s restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Justice League sees Bruce Wayne enlist the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Exclusive: Jai Courtney Teases Team Dynamic in The Suicide Squad

Exclusive: Jai Courtney teases team dynamic in The Suicide Squad While chatting with the 34-year-old star for his villainous turn in the Liam Neeson-led action thriller Honest Thief, ComingSoon.net got the opportunity to chat with Jai Courtney about the highly-anticipated The Suicide Squad and discuss the new team dynamic in the James Gunn written-and-directed action pic! RELATED: Peacemaker: The Suicide Squad Spinoff Series Coming to HBO Max! Despite having the Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker take over the reins from original writer/director David Ayer (The Tax Collector), Courtney notes there wasn’t much of a different mindset coming into his return as the infamous Flash villain. “Probably because there was so much that had been established already and I think James knew that coming in, even though he’s doing his own thing with the film,” Courtney explained. “I don’t feel like anyone felt the need to abandon what we had kind of already established, but he’s definitely the same guy, he’s not a dramatically different Boomerang. It’s just that the backdrop is a little different and there’s a whole bunch more people, so it’s going to have its own feeling and flavor about it, but people are going to have just as much fun with it and we had a great time making it.” While joking that he doesn’t believe “Captain Boomerang will ever learn how to play nice with others” and that makes up for “part of his charm” and his status as a “liability” for the team, Courtney does express that there will be a new team dynamic coming into the soft reboot-quel, but stating it’s a “natural” thing for continuing franchises. “It would have changed if it was the same group of people, same filmmaker or same outfits carrying on,” Courtney described. “I’ve made movies like this before where you go back and do a sequel, for instance when we did Divergent, the rule book is different, the narrative changes, everyone’s in a different part of their lives and all of that influences your experience in production. I don’t think anyone was disappointed or more excited, they kind of know that the dynamic was going to be a bit different with the crew no matter the case, but I got to meet some amazing talent that I hadn’t worked before and there are so many people in this that just kill it and do an absolutely fantastic job and have a lot of fun. It’s cool, I’m pumped for it and I hope it’s a huge success.” The Suicide Squad cast includes: John Cena, Jai Courtney, Joaquín Cosío, Joel Kinnaman, Maylin Ng, Flula Borg, Juan Deigo Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi, Alice Brage, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, and Margot Robbie. As we already know, Davis, Robbie, Courtney, and Kinnaman will all play the same roles they had in the 2016 film, reprising as Amanda Waller, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, and Rick Flag, respectively. Michael Rooker will play Savant, Flula Borg will play Javelin, David Dastmalchian will play Polka Dot Man, Daniela Melchior will play Ratcatcher 2, Idris Elba will play Bloodsport, Mayling NG will play Mongal, Peter Capaldi will play Thinker, Alice Braga will play Solsoria, Pete Davidson will play Blackguard, Natha Fillion will play TDK, Sean Gunn will play Weasel, John Cena will play Peace Maker and Steve Agee will play King Shark. RELATED: Wonder Woman 1984 DC FanDome Trailer Reveals Cheetah! The movie is written and directed by Gunn. Charles Roven and Peter Safran will serve as producers. Nik Korda is executive producing the movie. The Suicide Squad will hit theaters on August 6, 2021 while Honest Thief is set to hit theaters on October 16!
