    Toonami’s Uzumaki Anime Gets First Teaser Trailer, Delayed to 2022

    The first official look at Adult Swim and Production I.G.’s upcoming adaptation of Junji Ito’s horror manga Uzumaki has been released, along with news that the show has been delayed until next year. MORE: Josee, the Tiger and the Fish Heads to North American Theaters in JulyIn a brief look at the show, fans were treated to some incredible visuals as well as an early snippet of the haunting score that composer Colin Stetson is providing. Check out the first look from Uzumaki below: MORE: Netflix Reveals First Look of Godzilla: Singular Point English DubAlongside the clip, director Hiroshi Nagahama and Adult Swim Executive Producer Jason DeMarco shared the news that Uzumaki was forced to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and changes to the animation productions. According to Nagahama, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on the world of Japanese anime, especially when it comes to Uzumaki. Nagahama went on to say that the team behind the show was forced to restructure their plan behind it, and would require even more animators than previously anticipated. Because of this, the show needed to be delayed but is making progress towards being completed. While that news may have fans a bit unhappy, the fact that the show is progressing and seems to look very good should keep them excited for the new release. Uzumaki is now scheduled to release in October 2022. 

    Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Set for Toonami, June Schedule view

    Adult Swim is bringing another anime under its wing later this month. The English dub of Yashahime: Princess Half- Demon is coming to its Toonami program block.Starting June 26, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon will make its debut on Toonami at 1:00 a.m. Unlike some of the other anime present in the program block, this will be the first episode of the series.
