The Final Fantasy 14 Housing Lottery Is Finally Fixed

Final Fantasy XIV’s housing lottery is finally fixed after one month of being broken.  On April 16, an FFXIV maintenance update indicated that the latest lottery cycle for housing in-game was broken, so when checking the placard where winners were to be shown, the placard said there were no winners. This meant nobody could obtain a house. Polygon reports the issue has been fixed as of yesterday, and now, winning lottery numbers will be displayed correctly, and land purchases may be finalized accordingly.  “As I mentioned in our previous update, we will be conducting maintenance to restore lottery results data on Monday, May 16,” FFXIV producer and director Naoki Yoshida writes in a new update. “This maintenance will fix identified errors and properly relay lottery results for affected plots to the appropriate servers.” As a result of this maintenance fix:  Winning lottery numbers will be displayed correctly, and land purchases may be finalized accordingly. Temporary suspensions imposed on plot purchases and relocations will be lifted.  Yoshida says that if you have a winning lottery number, you should finalize your land purchase by Thursday, May 26, as the next lottery cycle will begin that day, at which point, you will lose the ability to claim land you won during the current lottery. The next one will start on May 26 and have a typical five-day entry period and a four-day results period.  If you’re a winning participant who has already received a gil refund due to the recent lottery break, you will still be able to finalize a purchase on a won plot of land. Even if you received a refund and have since found out you won the lottery, you’ll still be treated as a winning lottery player.  “In Patch 6.2, we plan to implement an NPC by which you may voluntarily return the deposit you were accidentally refunded,” Yoshida writes. “As these housing lottery issues have been significant and caused great stress and frustration in many players, we have no intention of performing a data rollback to forcibly rescind any refunded gil. We will make an announcement regarding the voluntary return of housing deposits once the NPC in question is ready to be implemented.  “In closing, I would like to thank you all once again for your patience and understanding this past month, and extend my deepest apologies for the trouble and inconvenience these issues have caused. We will do everything in our power to safely restore your data, fix any remaining issues, and bring you all a fair and functional housing lottery system. Thank you for your continued support.”  For more FFXIV, read our exclusive interview feature with Yoshi-P, and then read Game Informer’s Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker review. The Boys Season 2 Episode 7 Recap In the previous episode of Amazon’s The Boys, Stormfront revealed to Homelander that Vought’s true mission was white supremacy, and the Boys retrieved Lamplighter to help take down Vought. In The Boys Season 2 Episode 7, Victoria Neuman met with Lamplighter to testify before Congress, and Homelander brought Stormfront to meet Ryan. “Do It in Front of My Statue” Mallory arranged for Neuman to meet with Lamplighter. After she left, Butcher left Hughie to watch Lamplighter. Hughie sat with Lamplighter while he watched Supe-themed porn. When Hughie convinced him to turn it off, they saw on the news that Annie had been captured while meeting her mother. Hughie convinced Lamplighter to help him save Annie from Vought Tower. Lamplighter led the way through Vought Tower. Hughie found himself in the conference room. Lamplighter was upset that they removed his statue. He’d wanted to kill himself in front of it. He self-immolated. Hughie took Lamplighter’s hand for access throughout Vought Tower. He found Annie’s mother. The fire alarms going off gave Annie enough power to free herself. She found them in the hallway. Congressional Hearing Mallory and M.M. had gone to see Jonah Vogelbaum to convince him to reveal what he knew about Vought. He declined because of what could happen to his family. Mallory told M.M. that he should run away with his family. He called Butcher, who Judy had called away. She had lied to Butcher that his father, Sam, died to get him to see him. Butcher visited Vogelbaum and convinced him to testify to Congress about what he knew. During the hearing, just as Vogelbaum was about to begin his testimony, the heads of people in the room, including Vogelbaum’s, were exploding. Kimiko was important evidence against Vought, so Mallory tasked Frenchie with protecting her. As they watched over Neuman, Kimiko started teaching him her sign language. Brave Maeve Elena told Maeve that she would be staying at her sister’s. She couldn’t stop thinking about the people who Maeve let die on the plane. Maeve violently flipped a table when she couldn’t convince Elena to change her mind. Ashley found Maeve in bed with a man, flying in the face of the “lesbian” narrative that Vought was trying to push. When Annie had escaped, Black Noir found her. Maeve helped Annie and fed Black Noir an Almond Joy since he had a tree nut allergy. Lies Stormfront and Homelander arrived at Becca’s house unannounced. Homelander apologized to Ryan and introduced Stormfront as his girlfriend. Ryan showed them the Lego movies that he made about Becca’s favorite movies, and Homelander wanted to show Ryan his own movies. While Becca was working on dinner, Homelander and Stormfront flew Ryan over the Vought compound to show that his home wasn’t real. Ryan left with Homelander. Outcast At a party for Alastair, A-Train got The Deep a fish as a gift for helping him. Alastair asked them about Eagle the Archer, who had helped The Deep.
